Gogh Starry Night Camp
ages 6 - 13
5 day camp
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
August 2 - 6 with Diana Cilenti
Cost: $300
Taking our inspiration from the amazing work of Vincent Van
Gogh you will paint two acrylic paintings on canvas. (Choose
from a Landscape, Flower, or Portrait). Learn about color mixing
and try out Vincent's unique pallet of colors. Try your hand
at "hatching" to add tremendous texture to your work. In addition
we will make a wide variety of interesting art pieces using
several types of media. Explore print-making, use fabric paint
on a "Starry Night" pillow case, create your own unique three
dimensional scenes using materials such as fabric, wood and
found materials and much more.

In this camp you will develop your ideas, plans and drawings
for your fantasy tree house. We will take inspiration from
fabulous tree house architecture and other interesting architecture
from around the world. You will be able to compete a small
model tree house in great detail. Focus on both the exterior
and interior. Tree houses can be space age and futuristic
or more like a house for a garden fairy. What features will
your tree house have? Perhaps you'll design a mote, a swing,
stained glass windows, an elevator, a moon roof? Your imagination
can go wild in this terrific hands-on camp.CAMP

Spoofs & Mockumentaries
ages 8 - 14

Cost: $300
Tap into your humor and creativity to write, act and produce
humorous skits, spoofs or "mockumentaries." Team up with others
for a comedy sketch. Spoof well known movies such as "Star
Wars" or "Twilight." Invent crazy characters to interview
for a fake newscast or "Mockumentary." You will be able to
create the set, props, and costumes for your show. The performance
will be filmed and each student will receive a DVD. CAMP

Transform an empty space into your own unique envirnment.
In this camp we will explore the art of lighting, and the
development of color schemes. With the use of color, texture,
and form we will design and create a model of our dream room.
Projects will include the creation of various decorative objects,

Design
Ages 10 - 14

Fashion Show Reception: July 9th at 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $300
Design & construct your own unique fashions. Re-purpose & re-make
clothing into a fabulous outfit that you will model. Compile
a portfolio of your designs. Create or embellish a variety of
fashion accessories such as purses, belts, shoes & jewelry.
Learn to sew on a sewing machine. Gain skills, confidence &
knowledge. Our week will end with a runway fashion show.

Immerse yourself in the world of super heroes during this
fun week. You will invent your own original super heroes and
villains, determining their powers and other characteristics.
Then, create lots of interesting art projects inspired by
your characters, such as a comic book, a board game, and a
3-D model/sculpture. In addition you can make a super hero
cape or mask to wear at our reception. CAMP

This camp is ideal for serious fashion design enthusiasts.
Design and construct your own fashions to model on the runway.
Advanced fashion students will have the opportunity to take
their design and sewing skills to the next level. Learn many
new sewing tips and techniques. Work with patterns or learn
to make your own pattern pieces. Guest speakers from the fashion
industry will visit to share their expertise. CAMP

If you are passionate about exploring your art in depth this
camp will provide you with studio time & support. Focus on
a particular category of art & material to produce several
quality pieces. You'll write an artist's statement & have
the opportunity to show your work at art hop in September.

Cost: $300
Explore the exciting possibilities of sculpting with clay and
other interesting materials. You will learn the basics of hand
building with clay and will make several cool and useful projects
such as a fish pinch pot, an animal sculpture, and a unique
plate, tray or bowl. Your pieces will be glazed and fired in
a kiln. Each piece will be your own unique design and creation.
In addition you will have the opportunity to experiment creating
sculptures with other materials such as fabric, wood, wire and
plaster. Note: Clay pieces to be picked up at a later date.

Pan Theater Camp

This camp will allow aspiring actors to experience a classic
children's theater production. Each actor will have several
speaking lines. Camp participants will help create parts of
the costumes and props as well as participate in set design.
There will be theater games and art projects related to the
camp theme. We perform before parents, family and friends
on Friday.

If you've ever wanted to try your hand at drawing comics and
cartoons, here is your chance. You'll have the opportunity to
create your own original cast of characters. You will learn
to draw your characters from many views and with a range of
expressions as well as in various poses. You can match captions
or dialogue with your illustrations. By the conclusion of the
camp you will have created your own comic book, as well as a
full color poster. Students will also be able "bring their comics
to life" by creating 3-D versions of their cast of characters.

Spend a week of enchantment creating beautiful faerie houses
worthy of even the most discriminating fairies. Make tiny
furniture, and accessories for your house. Then fill it with
a faerie family. Transform yourself into a faerie by making
your own wings, skirt, wand and crown. Help turn the art studio
into a magical wonderland. Our week concludes with a faerie
