Your child’s confidence will soar and they will beam with pride as they share their new drawing skills with you. The Creative Path Youth Drawing Program, provides a welcoming and supportive environment where your child will be given the tools and skills for success. If your child takes pleasure in drawing, they will thrive in this program. In our sequential and on-going weekly classes, young artists will develop their drawing skills, step by step. They’ll also significantly expand their creative thinking and problem solving abilities. These essential skills will transfer to many other areas in life and provide your child with numerous long-lasting benefits.
Step 3 is designed for students in Fourth and Fifth Grade. Students in this class will use numerous tools in their professional level art kit to achieve impressive results. Your child’s skills will improve rapidly as they dig deeper into the fundamental elements of art including: line, shape, color, value, texture, space and form. Students will gain confidence as they focus on perspective and proportion techniques to accurately represent whatever they desire to draw. They will learn how to create textures that make you feel you could touch them if you ran your fingers across the paper. Students will be taught lettering techniques of various styles from formal and fancy to graffiti-style lettering. The Step 3 class is where students stretch their skills and show tremendous growth in developing cartooning styles and also in drawing realistically from observation.
