Using a blend of somatic practices, creative expression, breathwork/guided meditation and mindful reflection, we’ll guide you to soothe your nervous systems and reconnect with a deeper sense of ease. This class is led by Adrienne Gaskell, a life coach with 15 years’ experience in stress resilience and mindfulness.
The Artist’s Way Book Club & Community Gathering (Zoom)
MONDAYS 6:30 – 7:30 PM (12-week series)
In this 12-week series we will read and work through exercises from the best-selling book, The Artist’s Way, by Julia Cameron. We will support one another to awaken the artist within. This process can be therapeutic and transformative, and will help you to develop a consistent creative practice, overcome self-doubt, and live a more creative life. We’ll meet on Zoom with 3 opportunities to gather in person for hands-on activities and group discussion. Co-facilitated by Teresa Davis of Davis Studio/Play Intention and Gianna Altieri of Lunar Doula & Wellness.
Mood Booster: Art for Well-Being
WEDNESDAYS 10:00 – 11:30 AM
Unwind and recharge with this playful art-making session designed to boost your mood. Art for Well-being is a gentle invitation to use art as a tool for mindfulness, self-expression, and self-discovery. Join us each week for a guided art project accompanied by interesting conversations and uplifting social connections. You’ll leave feeling a sense of calm aliveness, joyful and creatively nourished. No previous art experience necessary. All skill levels are welcome.
Collaborative Fun and Games
WEDNESDAYS 6:45 – 8:00 PM (1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month)
Maybe it’s not all fun and games, but it should be! Enter a space for light-hearted, playful silliness where group projects aren’t graded, but instead are thoroughly enjoyed. Each evening we’ll go on a different active adventure. Perhaps the floor is lava, or maybe we’re all using markers to draw puppets on our fingers, or instead, we’re making a giant blanket fort. We’ll also teach you a variety of interactive party games. A little mid-week fun can go a long way. We hope you will join us by saying a resounding “YES” to living life to the fullest.
Busy Person’s Book Club
THURSDAYS 6:00 – 7:00 PM (1st & 3rd Thursday of each month)
Finally, a book club for people who are busy but who also like to chat with others on a deeper level. No pre-reading required here! We’ll kick things off by reading or listening to a short piece (poem, quote, article, podcast snippet, etc.), followed by guided conversation. Think of it as an opportunity to connect in meaningful ways with others on topics that are truly relevant to our lives. Meanwhile, we’ll have plenty of fun fidgets and herbal tea along with paper and colored pens for aha-moments and doodles. First Thursday of every month.
Love Letters
THURSDAYS 6:00 – 7:00 PM (2nd & 4th Thursday of each month)
This class is a free pass to drop your responsibilities for a moment and connect to the unique kindness within. Love in written form creates a sense of fulfillment and happiness that acts like a remedy to life’s stressors and challenges. You will be guided through an activity to channel thoughts and emotions into your own words. It might be random acts of kindness, creating meaningful (and amusing) handmade cards, or a self-love letter, the possibilities are endless! Each person’s project will be unique and private. This is a pressure-free, expectation-free zone. You’ll leave with a joy-full heart.
All The Feels
SATURDAYS 9:00 – 10:30 AM
Gain a sense of well-being through a variety of playful art techniques designed to help you more fully understand, accept and release your emotions. Explore a spectrum of feelings in a safe environment through embodied experiences such as drawing, painting, writing, collage making, sculpting, dancing, and mask making. Give yourself the gift of exploring a place for your emotions to exist outside of your body, mind and spirit. Absolutely no artistic talent or skill is required, only a desire to let go of self-criticism and judgement.
Paint Happy and Free
SATURDAYS 11:00 – 12:00 PM
Dip into delicious and delightful colors as you paint with wild abandon and discover how to emphasize the process rather than the end result. Create dots, lines, and sweeping shapes. Let the paint drip and pool onto the paper. Stand up and dance to uplifting music while you paint. Find your joy along with some refreshing peace of mind as you make colorful marks on paper. Studies have shown that making art measurably reduces stress levels for experienced artists and non-artists alike.
