Are you looking for guidance and support in your creative life? Are you seeking a community of fellow artists? Join us this summer to receive creative coaching and two live, in person group critiques. Throughout this 6-week course, you will create artworks in any drawing or painting medium of your choice while receiving individualized coaching by an experienced instructor. Coaching sessions will take place three times over 6 weeks remotely by phone, email, Zoom, or any other method of correspondence agreed upon between the student and instructor. Your instructor will customize content, including material techniques, to develop the quality of your artwork and to help you express your authentic voice in this Independent Study style course. All levels of experience in drawing and painting are welcome.
Included are two live, group critiques at Davis Studio. One, at the midway point (working critique), and another at the end of the 6-week session, as a culmination of your Independent Study. These critiques are meant to bring together artists and makers of all media, for an afternoon of sharing, looking, learning, and growing and will include an outdoor picnic lunch provided by Davis Studio.
