Join us to explore the world of color in a warm studio environment. You will come away with a better understanding of the language of color and the role it plays in art. From learning color theory vocabulary to understanding how to mix a range of values with color, this workshop will help you develop confidence in the art and science of mixing colors.
You will create a painter’s guide for future referencing, explore the meaning and symbolism of colors as well as create studies of color palettes to help you design your future artworks.
Materials included. Beginner and experienced artists welcome. This workshop will be offered in 2 parts, which can be taken separately or in sequence.
Prerequisite Note: This workshop is open to any past or current student who is looking for studio time surrounded by a vibrant and supportive creative community. You must have taken an 8-week course or be currently enrolled in an 8-week course at Davis Studio in order to register for this workshop.
