Step 3 – Creative Concepts Grades 4–5

Support your child as they gain in their ability to draw from observation. Their skills will improve rapidly as they dig deeply into the fundamentals of art including: line, shape, color, value, texture, space and form. Your child will gain confidence as they focus on perspective and proportional techniques to accurately represent whatever they desire to draw. They’ll create textures that make you feel you could touch them if you ran your fingers across the paper. They will be taught lettering techniques of various styles from formal to graffiti-style lettering.
