Join Vermont Master Naturalist Sarah Clowes for an afternoon exploring nature journaling and the wonderful world of watercolor! We will gather at Davis Studio, working from natural items found in the field, woods, and lakeshore. Lessons will focus on organizing your observations, questions, connections, and explanations on paper using words, pictures, and numbers. We will practice sketching with pencils, pens, and watercolors with an emphasis on learning basic watercolor techniques. Whether you’re a beginner eager to try nature journaling with watercolor or an experienced artist seeking to refine your skills, this workshop offers a supportive environment to learn, experiment, observe, and paint.

Davis Studio will supply paper, graphite pencils, micron pens, and watercolors. Students are encouraged to bring their own sketchbooks and any other art materials they wish to use. Students may also bring specimens to draw.  Beginner and experienced artists welcome.
