Painting with Glass: Intermediate

Classes will resume Spring 2025.

Come deepen your glass fusing skills during this 8 week session where you will learn what you can do with other forms of glass. Work with accessory glass such as frit, powder and stringers to design your own sheet glass which can then be cut up into shapes to create a “crazy quilt “ pattern or just use as a piece in one of your larger projects. Learn the many techniques using powders to create tie dye, batik and crackle designs on glass. You can even paint with powder or draw in it. The possibilities are endless. Continue to work on your skills with glass cutting, glass shaping with the flat lap grinder and tile saw, mold selection, design and assembly.

This Intermediate level course will require that you have taken a Beginner level Davis Studio fused glass class and that you are comfortable with basic glass fusing including hand tools and cold-working equipment.

In-Class Materials fee: The cost of materials will depend on the size of your project and ranges between $30-$100 total for all class projects. We will use the credit card you have on file. No card info, checks or cash taken at class.
