Edgar Degas is a French Impressionist painter and sculptor, known widely for his representation of horses and dancers. In this camp, you will learn to see movement in new ways, capturing a leap or a jump or a twirl as a moment in time. We will take turns with dance-inspired poses as we practice the dramatic lines of gesture drawing. We'll learn about the process of casting a sculpture in bronze, while molding our own faux-vintage piece. You will also complete an acrylic painting on canvas inspired by Degas’ famous works. Whether students enjoy dancing or not, have ridden horses or not, they are sure to enjoy learning about the life and style of this colorful and well-known artist.

We have aftercare available for this camp! Reserve it now!
