Fused Glass: Bowls for Mom - May
Dates: Sunday, May 12
Time: 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Location: 916 Shelburne Road
Instructor: Alyssa Oxley
Celebrate Mom by spending time together. This is a great place to start in Glass! Mom told you, “Be careful, don’t break the glass! You’ll get cut!” Well yes, that can happen. But, with clear instruction you will find that beautiful things can be made by “breaking” glass. We'll safely walk you through the steps of using hand tools to cut glass, and we'll discuss how color and design influence the way the glass will fuse together in the kiln. You will create your own unique piece of functional art. Once your bowl is assembled it will be fired in our glass kiln twice. You will be able to pick up your finished project in about 1 week.
NOTE: Our workshop fee is $35, and the $20 materials fee provides you with enough glass to make an 8" x 8" plate or bowl.
