Put on your lab coat and make molecular interactions in your art! This week is all about experimenting with materials to get fizzing, bubbling and marbling effects that you didn't know could happen with everyday art supplies. Did you know that boiled cabbage make a beautiful indigo pigment? Watch what magic happens to the color when we add lemon juice, or baking soda – then make a beautiful painting with the natural rainbow of colors. Or explore what happens when we mix a lot of Elmer's Glue and some borax? No, not a mess – a very touchable substance! We'll use basic chemistry terms to explain what is happening in our work, and make some totally cool art. The studio will become a science and art lab for the week. Our very artistic results will be displayed at our reception.
We have aftercare available for this camp! Reserve it now!
