Learn to incorporate this exciting and powerful tool into your art practice. No previous experience is necessary. In the first class, we will start from the very beginning, exploring the desktop, panels and layers. You will learn how to select, re-size, blend and adjust parts of an image. Use multiple files and techniques to create unique compositions and color palettes. Discover the ease of masking and use the amazing healing brush tool. In the second class, we’ll explore painting and editing an image using the Layer Modes, Paint Brush Tools, Patch Tool, and Pattern Stamp Tool. We’ll walk you through exploration of the Transform Tool as we Scale, Distort, Warp, use Perspective, and rotate an image. Before you know it, you’ll be comfortable with photoshop and using it to add an interesting dimension to your artwork.
***Important Note: You must bring your own lap top to this class. You need to have Photoshop downloaded onto you lap top. Go to Adobe.com <http://adobe.com/> and you can download a free trial of Photoshop CC 2019 for 1 month. Please download Photoshop before class.
Christine Neuhardt has been an adjunct Professor teaching Design 1 at the Community College of Vermont for 15 years. She taught Photoshop at the Governor’s Institute of Technology at Champlain College for 7 years. In her Photoshop class you will learn basic composition while exploring the work space of Photoshop. She is a Vermont Artist enjoying Acrylics, Watercolors, and Glass Mosaics. She has shown her artwork in the Burlington, and Stowe area for many years. Her class is geared toward the beginner artist learning the basic skills and tools of Photoshop.
