Come learn a new craft and make some sawdust with us! In this camp we will walk children through how to make several small woodworking projects using hand tools. Examples include a toolbox, a birdhouse, and wooden toys. Participants will learn how to layout, cut, shape, and assemble their projects. There will be no power tools in this class and no previous experience with hand tools is necessary. There will also be time for customizing projects with acrylic paint if desired. In addition, campers will create several clever crafts from leftover scraps of wood, along with driftwood, twigs and bark.

Instructor Stuart Cheney has a degree in Industrial Education from UVM and has more than 30 years of experience as a woodworker. Sachi Hergesheimer is a Mechanical Engineer and has been woodworking for 9 years.

We have aftercare available for this camp! Reserve it now!
