Writing is a critical skill for students to develop. In this class we offer students the opportunity to explore their individual interests and passions while stretching into new writing territory. Writing and sharing with others in a group setting is highly motivating and empowering. Students can choose to explore writing in a wide variety of forms including: poetry, prose, essay, article, short story, mini-novel, biography, blog entry, script, screen play, illustrated story or graphic novel. Most of the work for class will be completed during class time, however, there may be occasions when a student will need to complete work at home, particularly if they have been absent or if they choose an ambitious project. Your child will become a confident writer.
*Note students who take both Writing Connections & Time Travel through Art will have a supervised lunch and recess time at no extra charge.
